SEDA Academy of Arts, Kingswinford offers a complete dance programme ideal for any young dancer, through to teenage years and beyond in to adulthood.

SEDA offer an excellent variety of dance classes in Kingswinford to support dancers from the surrounding area such as Wall Heath, Wordsley, Pensnett and Brierley Hill.

As well as training in our studio, there is also an option to book parties and private lessons at your location and convenience.

The main aim for SEDA Academy of Arts is to provide dance classes that ensure dancers have the opportunity of becoming a versatile performer, with the knowledge of their body to promote a healthy lifestyle.

We encourage all our dancers to be confident individuals, but also to offer kindness to support others which builds on teamwork.

SEDA pride ourselves on offering a safe haven for children where they can come along and have fun while learning to dance. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to make new friends which helps the children grow in confidence.

SEDA Academy Of Arts is a little different from other Dance Schools in the surrounding area as it does not expect children to take part in exams or be the top performer in their field. Although, we do offer support to any dancer that wishes to pursue Dance Exams.

SEDA aims to eliminate any stress by promoting a fully inclusive, healthy environment to dance and our dance classes allow each child to progress at their own individual learning ability.

Sophie Orton

Principal / Street & Contemporary Coach

Throughout her thirty years of dance, Sophie has been trained in a variety of styles ranging from the Classical Ballet, Ballroom, right through into Hip Hop and Contemporary.

During her training, she became Freestyle Champion at the age of 12, attended The Royal Wolverhampton School, Thomas Telford, achieving Triple Distinctions in Performing Arts, leading onto gaining a Bachelors Degree in Dance from the University of Roehampton, London. The course offered the physical movement alongside Biomechanical training and injury prevention.

SEDA have a variety of Student Coaches & Guest Teachers who work along side our faculty to ensure a versatile teaching environemt.

Sophie B works with the Ballet & Lyrical.

Between the Student Coaches, we have a lovely team who care about our students. Having built a great rapore and working relationship during training.

All Student Coaches are shadowed by a fully qualified member of the team.

Caroline Gordon

Head Safeguarding Officer / First Aider / Licensed Chaperone

Is our on site First Aider and Safe guarding officer. Caroline is professionally trained in both areas and is fully knowledgeable and equipped to handle situations which may arise within the Academy.

Caroline is confident in her fields and takes charge within these areas to reassure parents and children of their safety and confidentiality.

Caroline is also a licensed chaperone for our events, working to ensure the safety of the children and adults behind the scenes.

Michelle Parrish

Promotional Manager

Is our Promotional Manager for SEDA.

Michelle is extremely hands on, creating content for our FaceBook, Instagram and Google Page.

Michelle creates posts which represent us not only a company, but as a family. Also, giving creating content ideas for the Coaches to act upon within lessons.

Michelle has been a part of SEDA since the launch in October 2015, supporting the dancers, coaches and parents with content, important information reminders and adverts.
